Went to see the “I’m your man”-movie with and about Leonard Cohen. I read the review in “I byen” by Kim Skotte, and had about no expectations to it, as the review war pretty poor. I was every so pleasantly surprised, I must say. It was a beautiful portrait of a person I knew not a lot about.
I can really recommend the film. It is out on dvd 30th of January, all though I am not sure what kind of experience it will be to watch in on a small telly. He is pretty impressive Leonard Cohen! A true icon of something I haven’t come around to define further just yet.
Afterwards The Raveonettes played som of Cohen’s song. And as a lot of people know - I love Sune and Sharin - but let me just say: Know your limits guys or demand better settings for playing! Who are you to mess up beautiful music?
My exceptations are growing to their summer-coming-album. I am not that impressed by them any longer, and have not been that for a loooong time. So let’s cross our fingers that they will amaze us again.
Thanks to Stefan for sharing this brillant evening with me.

Ok, so it has been forever since I have written anything about my concerts, but basically I have only been to the Madonna concert back in August and a very interesting concert with a band called Afenginn in september. Both very good.
But tonight I had the opportunity of hearing PJ Harvey in the “new” opera in Copenhagen. It was an amazing experience - she is truely a multi talent. She was performing solo which made it a very special concert, and one would have expected it be a little tame - but it really wasn’t. It is ever so impressive that one woman can actually do a hole concert in the way that she did.
The sound was very good in the opera and every one had a perfect view, which is rather rare. It was my first “rock” concert in a none smoking environment, which as well was nice.
Anyways, thanks to Julie, Trine and Malene for a good evening.

So, this Friday time was up for the the concert that everyone has been talking about for ever: Robbie Williams.
I will do it short! I do not like his music really but have heard so much about his shows that I thought that it would be an amazing experience to go and see for myself. It wasn’t. It was a brilliant concert, but I was not all in the skies of excitement, which is ok but a somewhat empty feeling.
Anyways I had a fantastic evening with Krykke, Marlene, Anders, Louise, Julie, Mia and Dorthe! Thanks to you all.

Isobel Campbell

Tuesday night Isobel Campbell visited Vega, and I visited Vega Tuesday night.
I only just recently discovered Isobel Campbell, and I am absolutely crazy about the album she has done with Mark Lanegan - a master piece! It is called “Ballad of the broken seas”
The thing is, my impression - juged from that album and it’s cover - is that she is exactly like she looks on the picture right above this text. But she is not! She is gorgeous, sexy, and stylish, but in real life she has no attitude what so ever but the little miss goody two shoes, and that is such a shame.
But if one was able to forget her well-behaved doll-like-attitude and just focus on the music it was a delightful evening with music of very high quality.
Mark Lanegan is not joining Isobel on the tour, unfortunately, but instead there is a guy called Eugene Kelly who is from the band called Captain America, Vaselines and Eugenes. I am not really sure what kind of music his different bands have been playing, but I must say that he can really sing!
The wierd thing was that some of the track she played that are not to be found on the album was a totally different style - all country and western, and I am not quite sure I think that style is cool at all! I must admit though that the tracks were well done and sounded very nice, it is just not the kind of music I enjoy. But I wonder if was Isobel’s new tune or if it was Eugene’s. Time will tell.
All together the concert was brilliant, and I am looking very much forward to hearing what kind of music she puts out next.
Thanks to you-know-who-you-are and Per for making it all worth it.
